Chasseurs of the Guard (Chasseurs à Pied de la Garde Impériale)

The Chasseurs of the Guard were the Second most senior troops in the Grand Armée. Men in the Chasseurs of the Guard were equally brave and loyal as the Grenadiers of the Guard. Very often, they fought just as well. In 1815, the Chasseur Regiments also expanded to form 4 Regiments.

Requirements:
  1. Must be literate.
  2. Must be over 172cm tall.
  3. Must have received a citation for bravery.
  4. Must have served in the army for at least 10 years (3-5 campaigns).
Uniform:
  1. Dark Blue Habit Long
  2. Red Turnbacks
  3. Red Epaulettes with Green Fringes
  4. White Lapels
  5. Bearskin Hat- Red/Green Plumes, White Cords
Due to the limited amount of time available, the 2e Chasseurs, 3e Chasseurs and the 4e Chasseurs were formed with recruits with 4 years of experience. This lack of experience made these regiments inferior to the 1st Regiment of the Chasseurs of the Guard (Le 1er Régiment des Chasseurs à pied de la Garde Impériale). The 1er Regiment of the Chasseurs fought alongside the 1er Regiment of the Grenadiers during in Placenoit during the Battle of Waterloo. They showed the same bravery and skill as the latter.
