The Fusilier-Grenadiers was formed in 1807 as part of the Middle Guard (La Garde Moyenne). They was organized the same way as the Fusilier-Chasseurs, but a slightly larger formation. The Fusilier-Grenadiers were often operated with its sister formation along with the Fusilier-Chasseurs as part of a Guard Fusilier Brigade. They were later disbanded by Napoleon in 1814 and therefore did not take part in the Battle of Waterloo.
